Laura Rupert

Director

Laura Rupert has been the dedicated Director of Jacaranda Preschool for over 28 years. From its humble beginnings as a family day care in her home to the thriving preschool it is today, Laura has been at the heart of its evolution and success.

With a wealth of experience supporting children and families, Laura has built a reputation for delivering high-quality, consistent care that reflects a deep understanding of early childhood development and community needs. Her leadership has been instrumental in shaping a nurturing and inclusive environment where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn.

Together with her children, Liese and Craig, Laura has brought to life a shared vision of a centre grounded in family values and committed to excellence. Their collaborative efforts have ensured Jacaranda Preschool remains a trusted and respected part of the local community.

Laura finds great joy in now welcoming her grandchildren through the doors of Jacaranda, continuing a proud legacy of care, connection, and lifelong learning.

Liese Rupert

Liese Rupert

Liese earned her Master of Teaching degree from Macquarie University. With a strong creative background and a passion for early education, she brings a unique approach to inspiring a lifelong love of learning in children.

As the leader overseeing the day-to-day operations at Jacaranda, Liese guides her team in delivering an engaging, nurturing, and dynamic learning environment. Her commitment to creativity and excellence ensures that every child is supported to thrive and grow through meaningful and joyful learning experiences.

Liese is also a proud mum to a five year old daughter and a two and a half year old son, which further enriches her perspective and connection to early childhood development.

Craig Rupert

Craig Rupert

Craig has a background in Sports Management and a Diploma in Early Childhood Education. He directs a comprehensive sports and gross motor program for children, bringing his passion for cricket and active learning to life.

With boundless energy, Craig builds positive and happy relationships with both children and colleagues. Known for his fun and approachable nature, he guides children’s behaviour in a supportive and positive way, creating an environment where children are excited to learn and grow through movement.
Craig is also a loving and dedicated father to a five year old son and a one year old daughter, who have both attended Jacaranda.

Staff,  children and parents have contributed in making Jacaranda the highest quality preschool in Seaforth.

Jacaranda Preschool Programs

Children 2-3’s

A whitewashed sunny room for inquisitive toddlers, with an assortment of inspiring provisions and interactive activities to challenge their creative talents. A room where lasting friendships and happy memories are forged. Room for art, interactive stories and developing a love for learning.

Children 3-4’s

The engine room of Jacaranda where children take the next step in developmental learning. A busy room where children are actively engaged, spend longer amounts of time on activities where the level of detail is guided by the children’s interest. Projects which challenge and stimulate the imagination and creativity. Achieving more authentic learning outcomes for the children from a flow curriculum which creates a freedom and passion through learning experiences.

Children 4-5’s

A room that not only prepares children for their first years at school, but creates confident involved learners, effective communicators with a strong sense of identity and wellbeing. A room that extends the curriculum into the outdoor space including a rich variety of open ended activities. Children co create the curriculum with learning activities across areas such as language, numeracy, literacy, gross motor skills, problem solving, art and music.

Our Facilities

The ground floor houses the three playrooms, the kitchen, nappy change room, children’s bathroom, the entrance and the office.

The playground is accessed through the covered verandah where children eat, paint, play.

The centre has safe onsite parking and drop off bays.
